Montana Home & Property Recognized With International Award

The number 13 has certainly proved lucky for some as the long awaited results of the world’s largest real estate property competition - The 2007 International Property Awards in conjunction with CNBC - were recently announced. Now in their 13th year, the awards were presented by former BBC Royal Correspondent Jennie Bond at a glittering gala dinner in London’s Grosvenor Square. Approximately 400 property professionals representing 56 countries from around the globe gathered in eager anticipation of winning one or more of the 100 highly prestigious awards across 20 categories.

The Avalanche Ranch in Kalispell, Montana was honored as a recipient of two
such awards in the category of Best Property. Avalanche Ranch received 5-star recognition as being the Best Property 2007 entry from Montana as well as the Best Property 2007 entry for the USA. On November 16th the Best Property International 2007 will be announced at a gala dinner to be held in Las Vegas at the annual convention of the National Association of Realtors®. Avalanche Ranch has been nominated for the coveted Best Property International award and is being judged against 4 other international properties located in Thailand, Dubai, Turkey and the UK. Avalanche Ranch owner Dan Kelleher comments “The decision of entering and composing the entry was the idea of our real estate broker, Rick Brunette of Coldwell Banker Wachholz & Company in Bigfork, Montana. We believe the amenities, quality and finishes of our home andproperty speak for themselves, but the award would not have been possible if it were not for Rick’s application of the marketing collateral and detail in his presentation to the judging panel.”

The CNBC International Property Awards are supported by five media partners
to include London’s Daily Mail, New York Times and Sidney’s Morning Herald, and no less that nine professional bodies which include the National Association of Realtors®, National Association of Home Builders, the British Interior Design Association and Aukett Fitzroy Robinson Architect. Their aim is to identify the very best in the residential property market with a judging panel that reviewed no less than 1,000 entries.

Selection is no simple task; it calls for a panel of highly respected judges whose collective knowledge of the industry is second to none. The panel is chaired by Eric Pickles MP, British Shadow Secretary of State. Criteria for the category of Best Property includes the architectural design, appearance and finishes, details of safety, security and energy efficiency and finally; innovation. Rick Brunette, Broker comments: “I was pleased when the Kelleher’s decided to call me in listing the 68+ acre estate for sale. I had been fortunate to follow the Kelleher’s building process, their attention to detail, commitment to quality and their overall vision to create a remarkable one-of-a-kind property. None the less, upon listing the ranch estate for sale, my learning curve to educate myself on all of its features spanned over 90 days. Locally, the Flathead Valley has a great deal to be proud of by having the resources of so many talented craftspeople in the building trades of construction.” The Flathead Valley is a four season destination with an abundance of various recreational opportunities in a pristine setting of the Rocky Mountains. The Valley, located in Northwest Montana is serviced by Glacier Park International Airport and host to the city and towns of Kalispell, Whitefish, Bigfork, Lakeside and Columbia Falls. As the voice of the housing industry in the United States, the National Association of Home Builders supports the CNBC International Property Awards and their goal of rewarding excellence in a range of professions in the residential housing industry worldwide," said Jerry Howard, executive vice president and chief executive officer of the 235,000-member, Washington, D.C.-based trade association. "We encourage our members and affiliates to compete in this prestigious awards program to build public awareness and appreciation for the amazing work they do.
